Have you heard of Oskar Fischinger? If you haven’t, Google has taken the task of educating all of us about the animator, and film-maker, noted for creating abstract musical animations long before computer graphics even existed… or music videos, for that matter.

Google’s idea of educating the billions of people using its search engine, is making a great interactive doodle. One that lets users visually create music. There are four different symbols, each “symbolising” (no pun intended), a different type of sound.
