The most popular photo sharing platform Instagram was found testing a new feature earlier this month. If you love Instagram, then you must be happy to know that Facebook owned photo and video sharing app will now let users to post up to 10 photos or videos in one post.

It is hard to say if the users need it or not, but who doesn’t love something extra. This update will allow users to combine up to 10 photos and videos in one post and swipe and to go through them.

This is not the first time Instagram is experimenting with a new feature. It recently brought the Snapchat like Instagram stories feature, which is widely accepted by the users. Similarly, the new multi-photo feature will let its users to get more creative and have more options to share their experiences.

While uploading your photo or video, you will see a new icon to select multiple media. You can apply a filter to each photo/video or also to all of them at once. To change the order of your photo/video, you can simply tap and hold on the media and drag it to the place you want. Users can only put a single caption and the shape is restricted to square only for now. There will be a small icon on the photo/video thumbnail, when you’ll view it on the profile grid.

While scrolling through your feed, photos/videos with but dot at the bottom will signify that there is more media which you can swipe and view. You can like and comment on each photo/video of these albums like the way you do on a regular post.

This update is available as part of Instagram version 10.9 for iOS in the Apple App Store and for Android on Google Play.
